The Rider

Ten minutes from Bramham, one level from the top.

Josie Summers (née Proctor) is a British event rider based in Yorkshire, ten minutes from Bramham Park — the event she grew up watching and now competes at. She rides at 4*, one level below the very top of the sport, with seven CCI4* completions and four more at Advanced.

Her best result, a 4* podium at Blair Castle, came on a horse the family was given for free. That story is below.

In 2026 she completed 4* at Bramham and Scone Palace, securing the qualification pathway towards a first 5*.
